No one knows for sure how Strawberry Cough came into existence, but it’s commonly believed to be a cross between Original Haze and an unknown Indica. Pinene AKA Alpha-Pinene (α-Pinene)

As you might expect from the name, this terpene is found heavily in pine needles, and you may very well detect a strong scent of pine from your Strawberry Cough with the strawberry aroma being a whiff of sweetness after. Pinene is also found in basil, rosemary, dill, turpentine, parsley, and dill. α-pinene is an important terpenoid with anticancer properties against human ovarian cancer cell lines, hepatocellular liver carcinoma cell lines, and N2a neuroblastoma cells.
