As written above, this strain has its roots in the Acapulco, Mexico region, amongst the mountain areas outside of the city. It also takes its name from it’s brownish gold or green and goldy colours, along with its orange hairs. The strain averages about 19% THC with sometimes testing as high as 23%. It’s aroma is often unmistakable and described as a recognizable toffee.

Today, Skunk #1 is often considered the “back bone” of the modern cannabis community as so many strains have Skunk #1 in their genetics – but in reality, Acapulco Gold is one of the strains from which Skunk descended from.
