Many legends abound about the creation of Bubba Kush. Some claim some dude named Bubba was messing around with some Hindu Kush in Kentucky and began experimenting with some unknown ultra dank strains until he finally created Bubba. Others say it was developed in California after a grower brought some Northern Light back from a fantastic trip to New Orleans during the Mardi Gras, and crossed it with an OG Kush, and named it “Bubba” due to how thick and strong it grew.
Originally, it could only be cloned but now, Bubba Kush can be grown from seed, and it produces medium sized buds; leaves are generally a range of green to a light purple, and white trichomes coat the leaves.
Bubba Kush Effects
Generally high in THC (averages 19+%) this Indica dominant strain’s major effects include a sense of deep, comfortable relaxation. Couch-lock could be a possibility – so it’s not recommended usually as a day time smoke. You will mostly likely experience a lift in mood, while sinking into a body relaxation but possibly with some brain fog going on later.
The most dominant terpene in Bubba Kush – caryophyllene – is the one that is known to have an effect on the human endocannabinoid system which regulates mood.
